song of the day

on my drive to work i was listening to REM's greatest hits album and i had a sudden swelling of my chest that i always have when i hear a song that blows my mind. this is followed with a pit in my stomach and a finger twitch that keeps repeating the song. after this physical reaction i had, i've come to the conclusion that "e-bow the letter" is their best song. i would even venture to say it's in my top 20 favorite pop songs.

i don't consider myself an REM fan. i have a couple REM albums (green, automatic for the people and another one i can't remember right now) but don't listen to them frequently. i guess because i don't have the cd jewel cases i always forget i have them. i really think i should relisten to them. and i would normally buy an album that i like this much but i have most of these songs on other albums. so i don't carry too much guilt.

either way, just a little nugget of opinion to share. take it or leave it.
